To be honest, I have been shying away from feathers because of the sustainable aspect of where these feathers were sourced from...

Over the last couple of years I have been contacted several times to deliver live and online classes on how to naturally dye feathers... these workshops were requested specifically by people who were learning the art of millinery and wanted to use sustainable materials to embellish their beautiful head pieces.

I realized that (just as with leather) I needed to divert from the process I was applying for fabrics and yarns, and I started using natural dyes and mordants in a different ways to suit the feathers.
